hey dloza, i have a 55w 6k kit in my 04 silverado and they are extremely bright. i ordered new dual halo projector headlights and plan on putting my hid lights in them. I havent heard anything about it being a bad idea. the website i ordered them from even says that you can put hid kits in them. i dont see why it would be a bad idea.

The only reason they would ever be bad is if you installed them without having a projecter case. The projector is where you get a focused fine beam.

If you were to use the HID's just in a stock headlight case it would look good just not be as functional.

Look at any lexus, porsche etc. and notice that if it has HID's it has projectors!

Hope this helps.

HID's work well even in a stock headlight, but they tend to **** people off coming towards you because they are so bright, i have them in my 05 in the stock lights.
