I have a 2004 1500 HD 4.8 Ltr Silverado Long Bed Regular cab. The original front brake pads lasted 465,000 miles, rear pads lasted 273,000 before changing. It has the original fuel pump in the tank. It has the original spark plugs, the original coils, plug wires. the only wheel bearing I've ever changed is the right front, all the rear end is original. transmission lasted 465,000 miles, never changed the fluid, never had to add any. original power steering pump, added fluid for first time just the other day. Never been into the engine, not even a valve cover off. I have put a couple of water pumps on it. It does not leak any oil nor does it burn any. Had to fix A/C at 350,000. and the motor that directs the air to the vents hot/cold. This 04 Chevrolet Truck has been the best vehicle I have ever owned in my life. I drive this truck every day for a living. Its never left Me stranded on the road. I bought this truck with 51,000 miles on it, it now has 509,365 miles on it and still runs great. I cant believe some of the stats myself. I would like to see more reports on HIGH MILEAGE CHEVY TRUCKS. I think that would be great! Thanks for reading my Reply Roadhogg2004

2. 93 Suburban going strong with 340k, rebuilt transmission about 6 yrs ago.
3. Youngster in the fleet is 2005 Suburban just hitting 200k, no major problems yet.

Had a 1990 k1500 with 380,000 it burned a little oil so I just ran it a little thicker. Did the trick. Great truck ran strong. Had a kid and the wife made me get rid of it. Damn shame.

2000 sierra 4.8L std trans. 355 000kilometers and still on the original clutch. Burns less than a liter of oil in 5000km. Pretty amazing imo.
No afm and no olm oil changes at 10,000km intervals.
