I just purchased a Garmin GPS and it has to be hooked up via a cigarette lighter for the traffic option to work. Not wanting the plug, and wires trailing across the dash I bought an aftermarket light plug with pos/neg terminals to direct wire into the system. Question is, Is there a blank spot in the fuse block under the hood to run this to? Or even better yet something I can jump into under the dash that will not upset the system, or void any warranties?

One way would be to find a fuse in the I/P fuse block that switches on/off the way you want and then install an add-a-circuit fuse holder.

No, I meant the instrument panel fuse block, driver side of the dash, on the end.

I didn't wanna go that route and I ran the wire through the speedo and behind the dash kick panel with the wire showing just enough to plug in. I have full control and it look clean!
