Question Hose hanging underneath 2000 Silverado 1500 v6

Hey I need help. I noticed a rubber hose hanging from the underside of my truck. it was cut in half. One half was zip tied to the frame just to the right of the fuel tank. The end of this piece is just a rubber plug with no opening. The other half was run through a clip on the rear axle. Both ends of that piece were hanging. I could not find another place where this hose would connect to. Where does this hose go to and what is it for? I cant fathom a hose clipped underneath there that doesnt have a purpose but I cant find any place that it came from. Please help!!!

Question

I drove about 30 miles today and still cant find anything wrong. No check lights are on, drives normal, breaks are normal, AC is normal. Anyone have any clue what this hose could be? More information: The hose looked like it ran parallel to the drive train just above the drive train. I actually think thats what it got caught up in to be cut and hanging. Let me know if anyone has any ideas. Thanks
