I recently bought a 93 k1500 pickup off of a friend and it has some issues. One of the major ones that is preventing me from driving it is what a few friends believe is the torque converter. What its doing is that when in drive, it revs up real high but doesn't take off. Even if the pedal is too the floor. What gets me though is when it is in reverse, i can squeal the tires in reverse like there isn't a problem at all. It just doesn't have any take off or get up in drive. Anyone got any ideas? I'm in need for help since i don't have much time before i have to go back to school across state. Thanks for your time.

 

Your "friend" sold you a truck with a burnt up transmission. It's got to come out of there for a rebuild.
