How can i get trailer lights for my truck?
So I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500, and it has no connector of any sort to connect to a trailer, i just recently bought this truck and i usually do some trailer pulling. What do i need to do to get lighting to my trailer? weather its a 4 way or a 7 way it does not matter. if anyone could send me a link to a product or whatever that would be awesome! thanks
Adapters are very common and sold at auto parts stores and WalMart. They are a tee connector that connects in-line with the tail light wiring. Just find the existing connector hidden behind the rear bumper, disconnect it, plug the tee connector in, and plug the other end into the trailer wiring. You can find flat-4, flat-5, round 6, and round 7. I even seen ones that attach to the underside of the bumper with a connector for both round and flat. No splicing, cutting, soldering, or taping needed.
Just go to an auto parts store and tell them what you need.
