Default How to change Program for keyless entry?

I bought a used 2008 Silverado 1500 4x4 with 5.3 liter engine. I feel the old owner is messing with me about the title and so I want to change the keyless entry code. I do not want to program some key fobs but actually change the vehicle code that the fobs use. I am trying to preclude the use of old key fobs.

So does anyone know if you can change the key fob program or what it might cost to have the dealer do it if it comes to that?

I do not think it can be done.

Thanks MDTAHOE, the more I think about it the more problematic it becomes, since I would still have to change the locks on the doors and ignition. I guess I'll just pay ONSTAR to track my rig with their GPS system.

You could get an aftermarket alarm system with remote entry and that would probably disable the factory?
Not sure if they'd just use the same kind of frequency/code though... If you're gonna keep the vehicle for a long time and customize it, might as well have the security of an aftermarket alarm/security system too?
