i have a 1978 chevy k10 with a th350. i do not like the th350 with the 454. will i have to have a shop do it? cause it will probably need to be lifted right?

 

what do you mean by lifted? its a pretty straightforward swap. only difference may be in the yokes, which means a different driveling possibly. just yank it out of same truck as yours that has a 400. done. trans mounts are same. flexplates are same.

 

What difference are you expecting between the two?
