Default How to determine type of axles and transfer case

Hi, I'm trying to figure out which transfer case, front axle, and rear axle my family's work truck has so that I can change the fluids. I slid under the truck but cannot find any markings. The truck is a 1998 K2500 Silverado with the 5.7 gas engine. Any ideas?

Default Rpo

Look in your glove box, there should be a tag with RPO codes on it. These are the build item installed at the factory when your truck was built. Then use your search engine for RPO codes for your year and match up to your codes.
