Might be a great way to protect a new set of lights. It would keep the pebbles from sand blasting them on the highway.

Nice truck! I just did the headlight/parking light R&R on my '98 Silverado, so I feel informed. I had to remove the grill because the headlights come as an assembly and will not fit through the opening. Very straightforward and easy once the grill is off, though. 4 bolts to the front clip on each headlight assembly, 4 external phillips screws on the parking lights. The wiring terminals and bulb removal is not a problem. I wire brushed both ground wires carefully and my new lights are shining bright, even better than I was hoping for. Hey, maybe I'll be able to see at night!
