Default How do i get more power from my 4.3?

i have a 4x4 half ton sierra with a 4.3. im wondering what i can do to make more hp out of the six cylinders engine.. any opinion is appreciated.. thanks guys

first, welcome to our forums. glad ta have ya aboard.
now, gettin more power depends on how much work ya wanna do, and your budget. delco plugs, low resistance wires ( i like the taylor spiro pro) brass contact cap and rotor, maybe cold air intake. these are a couple easy, bolt on ideas. now, you can get into motor and change cam, pistons, and such. what year is truck/motor?

you could had a 6.0 out of a truck in it. its got alot of power for whatever you need it for.

the truck is a 2000 with 125k on it.. i have 265 75 16s on it now and i cant even get the tire to spin.. but i think my cat is getting plugged up because it was acting funny the other day, kinda like it was runnin out of gas but i had quarter of a tank. i got out and i could smell what was similar to rotten eggs.. so a new high flow cat hopefully help
