hello everyone im new to this sight i ran across a truck yesterday and just had to buy it, its a 96 1500 crew cab, was done from the dealer by the Centurion Industries i guess i have never even seen one untill this one, or have ever owned a 2wd truck i saw this one and had to have it, hopefully the pic goes throught im trying to post( im not a fan of the rims that are on it but this is just how i bought the truck-Yesterday)

 

Do you mind telling us how much you paid for it? Curious if anyone is catching on to how rare these are.

i bought it off craigslist it has a 4 inch lift to get the 20 inch rims under it witch is brand new, also the brand new shocks in the box that came with the ruff country lift and a set of stock rims and tires with the truck, i bought it from a guy who owned a towing company it was his daily driver i picked the truck up on what i think was a pretty good deal of $3200

 

That is a pretty good deal. You could prob'ly sell those wheels you don't like and get $500+ back out of them. Welcome to the club.

 

Looks like I'll be selling my 98. Had hopes of doing a complete restoration but don't have the funds or the time. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

I have a all original 1997 Chevrolet 1500 White crew cab Z71 with a 130k. in excellent condition that I would like to sell (10k). I bought it in 1998 from original owner.

 

Here is a pic of my 98 Centurion......bought this beauty 6 yrs ago with 132k miles. It was in good shape when I bought it...It has been my daily driver since. Unfortunately, the harsh Maine winters and the salt and calcium the state puts on the winter roads around here has not been so good on it. I have repaired the frame a couple times and have intentions of finding a 99 3/4 ton and doing a frame replacement and bed replacement at the same time.....In the last year have done alot of research on these conversion trucks and found they made around 12 of them that year in 2 wheel drive and 6 of the 4wd version......mines paid for and is like a member of the family. So sad to see it rotting but doing the best I can to keep her healthy!! As of today it has 265k miles and still running strong on the original engine!!! LOVE my Centurion Z71!!!
