Hydraulic Lifters on 6.0 Vortex Max FUBAR
As a new member to the forum I want to say hello and ask a question
I own a 2007 Silverado Vortex Max, 4X4 with the Max trailer package.
The truck has 19000 miles on it (yep in just ¾ of year lol) when just the other morning starting from a cold start I could hear a flat hydraulic lifter tapping its way back up to pressure. This did concern me so I took it to my dealer to have it addressed where I was told there is a service bulletin that has been issued for this problem.
It seems that if anybody has a problem with lifters, they are too replaced. One of those don’t tell anybody if you complain fix it real quick deals. So now the truck is having all its lifters replaced and the accelerator program reprogrammed which is also under a service bulletin.
My question is, has anybody heard about this, and what is the story behind it?

No, I haven't heard of it and I also have the Max. I know the service manager and will email him and ask. I have not had any problems at all with mine but only 5500 miles. Thanks for the infomration.
