Default Ignition Advance

Hello all - does anyone know what a normal ignition advance should be for a 1996K1500 with a 5.0l motor. I get what looks like a -12 deg at idle to a -32 deg under load with an Actron meter. The motor was changed and a reman distributer installed later by a mechanic. Truck runs good but the negative advance numbers bug me. Is the computer trying to retard the timing. I would of thought the computer would try to advace it under load.

Any thoughts.
