Default Ignition Conrol Module

Is it possible for a Ignition Control Module on a HEI dist. to go bad, and be able to allow there to be spark?

you can tell by letting your truck run and tapping on the module if it sputters or shuts off its bad but usually when they go bad they just go bad

Well at this point it just does not run??? It has spark, but the spark is yellow, and it is getting fuel, the only time it considers firing is while it is turning over with my foot to the floor????? Fuel is going to the carb, and there is spark.....

Sounds like fuel pump there may be fuel at carb but sounds like you dont have pressure. Hard to tell though. did it just go bad or did you mess with something? Let me know

You can test the coils with a meter in ohms, gimme a minute I will look at my manual and post the resistance it should be at, you can do the same with fuel injectors.

aaahh, my manual does not have the coil test, I will check elseware.

Maybe this will help---- http://autorepair.about.com/od/troub...l-test-ohm.htm

Edelbrock 600.... It ran great and I parked it, the next day I went out and tried to start it and there was nothing, unless I hold the pedal to the floor it acts like it wants to start, otherwise, with my foot off the pedal, it just turns over like there is no spark????????????? This bastard is pissing me off, it has been a couple weeks, and I am giving it about -7 days until I rip the top half off and go to TPI, so if you know anyone looking for a VICTOR JR. high rise gap2 intake and a performer carb let me know, I climb too much crap and am always stalling.... and now after no changes it does not even run.... EFI here I come
