06 Silverado w/ 30k miles that is showing tire feathering on both the inner and outer parts of the front tires. I rotate after every two oil changes (6K miles). The feathering is very bad and the tread on BOTH edges of tires is very worn as opposed to the middle of the tire. Pressures checked frequently and are at spec. Alignment was checked and did not show anything to warrant this.

Has anybody else had a similar problem?

 

Always use the tire manufacturer's recommended pressure.Your problem is most likely caused by a combination of underinflation and/or excessive toe-out.
What kind of tire is equpped on the vehicle? Same as stock?
