Default Installing autometer water temperature gauge

I recently just bought an electrical water temp gauge by auto meter. Could any one give me advice on installing an autometer water temp gauge? Just wondering if it's a diffucult job. I have a 1989 chevy k1500 with a 350 in it. Any input would be great!!!!

drivers side of motor, towards front is the stock temp sending unit. take this one out, replace with autometer sensor. then just run wire thru firewall somewhere, mount gauge where you want, hook up wires. done.

thanks maxxman!! I installed the water temp sensor yesterday morning and it works great!!! It took me about an hour so it wasn't so bad. I also installed a auto meter oil pressure gauge. My only concern though is it only shows 25 PSI. I know that on my old motor and stock gauge it at least showed around 45 PSI and more when I was on the highway. Is this normal? How do I go about this if it isn't?

25 psi at idle or while driving? the rule of thumb is 7-10 psi for every 1000 rpm's. did you coil the oil line per instructions? it could be the old setup wasn't working properly too. double check all fittings and check instructions again to see how many times you should coil the line.

Coiling the oil line?? I followed the instructions but i don't remember seeing anything about that. I have an electrical gauge if that matters. It runs 25 PSI at idle and hwy driving.
