The keyless entry pad is a Ford / Lincoln / Mercury thingy. You won't find a GM part number for one, I don't think, and I've never heard of a generic third party product. There may be one, but I've not encountered it. There are lots of keypad entry systems for buildings, but not for cars.

By the way, you might tell your friend that they are not the most secure items anyway. There's a sequence of numbers that can be entered into the 5 button Ford Motor keypad that will open any of them. The sequence is long, but itruns through all the possible combinations and will open any of the vehicles in 20 minutes or probably much less since the proper combination willsurely be somewhere before the very end of the sequence.

I found one place in the entire world that makes a keypad for gm. A1ELECTRIC AUTOMOTIVE ACCESSORIES. I am ordering one for my 2007 gmc sierra and 2006 corvette. After driving a Lincoln and a F150 Harley truck I became very spoiled and can't stand to carry around a pocket full of keys and fobs for each.

Looking to also add a keypad keyless entry to my. 06 silverado. I was wondering if you could provide additional info on how this worked out for you?
or if you have another thread detailing.the project?

Thanks
