Does a 92'chevy 1500 with a 5.7 come equipped with a Knock Sensor? If so where would I find it,Its not one on the harmonic balancer area.

if the knock sensor isn't hooked up i believe it should set a code, is the service engine soon light on or are there any troubles with the truck?

tape em up and dont worry about it, how fast does it idle, and the knock sensor shouldnt affect the idle probably just needs a cleaning

ok i looked in front of the starter for a knock sensor, and there isnt one.All there is, is a 1/8 or 3/8 plug in the block.Does that mean my engine is not equipped with a knock sensor. Most of the time my engine idles around 1200 to 1300 rpm every now and then it will ease down to 700 or 800 rpms and Ive changed the sensor on top of the intake.

It maybe on the other side of the engine. The knock sensor only has 1 wire going to it.

The knock sensor is a big round one, about 1 1/2", bigger than temp sensors. And it has a round plug in.
