Cool knock sensor

94 1500 4.3 4l60e. getting a knock sensor code. was told the knock sensor is above the starter. have been crawling around under this thing for an hour and don't see it, don't even see any wires other than the ones going to the solenoid.
don't know any history on this truck. so, don't know if the engine has been changed out. just know it's a 4.3 tbi with center bolt valve covers. is there any other place they put knock sensors? or could the engine have been changed to a year that doesn't have one.

unless they moved them that year, it should be on the passenger side right in front of the starter. it is possible there was an engine swap and they didnt put the correct block in it. or they took it out while doing a re-build and decided to leave it out rather than replace it.
