new to forum,2011 chevy 5.3 knocking lightly, oil pressure 25-40 psi.does not knock all the time.sounds low in motor like a rod,hear it better from wheel wells.anybody else have this.2985 miles.thank for help.

 

Is this worse when it is cold and goes away when it warms up?

 

no,it's does not do it when I crank it,it's after it warms up,drive across town and it knocks and cut it off and crank back twenty minutes later and it's not knocking.always after it's warm so far

 

i had this in my Tahoe it started low then got worse it did have 178k miles at the time. All it was was a loose rod.

yes I have,they told me to bring it in and leave it a couple of hours,it's going to be first of the week before I can do that.was just anxious to see if anybody else had this noise going on.just hoping it's not a major thing,thanks
