I have a 2005 Silverado w/ 45k miles, 2wd, V6. In the last month, I have notice a slight knocking and movement in the steering wheel while driving. Both the knocking and the movement are more noticable when I make turns. Could this be ball joints or something else?

This problem has been discussed here before. The steering column needs a lube kit. Here's a thread with the problem and fix.
