Default Leak on Drivers side floor board

Is there a common leak that happens on the drivers side of a 1999 chevy 2500? The previous owner said it always leaked on him and the body shop couldn't find the leak and said it was coming from the windshield. I don't think that is the case because I don't see a trail coming from the windshield and it is only wet at the bottom under the door sill and the inulation is soaking it up under the carpet. Would this just be the door sills that I need to replace or do I need to look in the firewall? Any suggestions? If it is a door seal, any recommendations for a website that sells them at a decent price? Thanks!

Have you found your source of the leak yet? I have the same thing happening on my 99 half ton.

Take off the door sillplates and lift the carpet up so you can see where the water is entering and pooling When you lift the carpet up, you may be able see an entry point without waiting for the rain.

My 03 had an uncaulked joint at the top of the A pillar, under the headliner. Dealer found it.
