hey guys my dads got a leaky muffler problem.......how should he fix it?should he buy a whole new muffler system?if so which kind?PLEASE HELP!!!!!


the truck is a 2002 Chevrolet silverado 1500 4x4 5.3L v8

well whet kind?like cherry bomb?or flowmaster?

 

Thats kind of up to what your dad wants is it not.

 

I would say just put a new muffler also. And the type or model depends on what he likes and is willing to spend.

depends on what size tubing you got now, what one you prefer, sound. mine was like 160 from cherrybomb(vortec hiflo muffler) and i got it for 75 on ebay. let me tell ya. ppl always go for flowmaster but im sticking with cherrybomb because everyone has flowmaster i can tell you which truck around me has what muffler its so bad. but. also... i dont think my muffler will rust out soon becuse of its huge 10 gauge steel and its really tough paint. believe me... my muffler is HEAVY and works.
