Default Leveling Kits?

I just bought a 2003 1500 HD 4x4 Crew Cab with low miles. Truck drove perfect when I bought it but the front end was really low and the rake was 2.5" higher in the back. So, I put a 2.5" Ready lift leveling kit on the front and the truck is now even. Im bummed because the ride changed. The steering is not as tight and the ride feels rougher. I think I like some rake in the truck so I am either going to add 1" lift to the back or drop the front 1". Any suggestions on ride and steering based on anyones experience would be appreciated. By the way, I did not change my original tire size and do not have immediate plans to.

might want to get longer shocks, but anytime you crank the front end up it's gonna ride rougher, you're tightenin up your suspension. and it's up to you, if you like where the front end sits leave it and bring the back up if not then bring it down a little

Thanks, I really like the look but also like the ride..... I will talk to the shop in the am. If I can keep the full lift and dial in the steering ect I will do it. If not then dropping the front an inch may work.

Lifting any truck changes all the pivot points on every thing. It causes everything to wear out faster. I bet your truck doesn't ride that nice if its a 1500HD lol.

the front life has reduced the caster. Good alignment shops try to give you the most caster they can (without getting excessive to cause steering shimmy) as it provides directional stability and returability.

hopefully it was aligned after the lift. caster specs are for level vehicles so the rake of the frame must be measured and accounted for when doing alignments. New alignment machines let you enter this frame angle so it is easily factored in the castor setting.
