Default Lift kit advice

I just got a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 single cab from my father-in-law (long story) and need to raise like 2" max. I don't wanna off-road it I just now live with rougher roads and need a little lift. Any suggestions?

Am new to trucks, have never owned one

4wd or 2wd? There's levelin kits out there that'll raise it up 2". If it's 4wd you can crank up the stock torsion keys, if it's 2wd you need to buy a coil spring spacer, make sure you get an aluminum one and not the rubber kind.
