Default Need lift kit advice! : )

I just bought a stock 2001 Silverado 1500 Z71. I'm selling my 4" lifted Jeep and I want to put a similar lift on the Silverado so I can keep my off-roading hobby going.

I'm a complete rookie with almost NO mechanical knowledge - I know I want about a 4" suspension lift and 33in tires. But after that I'm lost! Any advice?

Can I keep my stock wheels with a lift and bigger tires?

Will 33's rub with a 4" lift?

What lift kits are best?

Will I have to re-gear the truck with a 4" lift? (I have the 5.3 V8)

Thanks in advance for any tips!! : )

Answering your questions in the order that they were presented:

There isn't much advice to give you. You already know what you want and it should all work fine together.

Yes, just make sure you get the right size tire for your wheel.

Probably not.

You'll get a wide range of who thinks what kits are better, IMO there is no definitive answer unless it comes down to customer service. My opinion is do your own research and find what kit you like best.

No, you'll be fine.

Keep In mind You went from a straight axle to an ifs front end. A 4 inch lift will put a lot of strain on the cv joints. Which they will hold up to a point, but not as well as the straight axle in your jeep did.
