yes just because they are 11 years old and you might not get them off in one piece

Depends. Look at your U-bolts now, most of the time there's @ an inch or two of thread to spare, and IF you can successfully remove the original nuts,(liquid wrench, tap, patience, repeat) and there's enough extra length to spare, you can just re-use what ya got.

i just cut em so temptation to reuse is gone, you could lift it like one group i know, they take a truck that year and put a solid front axle under it, they are nuts but it looks really good
