At this point I own a 2003 Tahoe Z71. I want something simpler that has much less electronic crap on it and something that will offer pulling power, practicality, and an aggressive look. I'm torn between a 1990 C/K 2500 and a 2000 C/K 2500 with a turbo diesel and a 4 or 5 speed, 4WD is also a must have for me. Of course I would have to make a few modifications but I would like some input on either of those years as well as any insight into the 6.5 turbo diesel engine and the transmission those came with. Am I looking at trucks that will give me problems or a truly solid vehicle? My dad has a 1990 C/K 2500 with a 350 and it has given him zero problems since he bought it off the lot so that's how I'm basing some of my search criteria.
