Im looking at buying a new Silverado and I'm not sure what model I should look at. Hoping to get some advice here as I haven't owned a Chevy since my 79 z-28. What I'm looking for is a short bed crew cab. Has to be 4wd and I'm going with the 5.3. As far as options I just want cloth this time a vinyl floor would be great. Power windows, and locks, mirrors would be good too. Other than that blue tooth ( now that I've had it I need it!) and a/c are pretty much it. Possibly skid plates if they are an option. The way I saw it was an LT would probably be the ticket but figured it can't hurt to get some advice. This was all I was looking to get in my current truck and ended up with leather and navigation and all sorts of nonsense that just makes me worried about maintaining, not to mention that t seems to rain in the cab every time it rains outside too. Thanks for any help you can give me.

 

Get one with a z71 package.
It'll come with 4wd, skid plate, a better ratio and a few other things.
As far as power controls and AC, those afaik are pretty much standard in all new vehicles.

 

LT with z71 package but no 4x4...should do the trick. but they have multiple LT packages now so just see which one suits you better
