Loss of power, mis firing, et cetera.

Hi all, new to the forum, and had some problems I'm looking to solve. I've got a 97 k 1500 with the 4.3L v-6. Recently, the truck has been running rather "interestingly." She'll start up and idle like a champ, but during acceleration will rapidly begin to mis hit, and even lose power. Most of the time if you put the gas pedal to the floor, she'll run smooth enough, but only up until about 2500 rpm. The problem seems to increase in persistence when the weather turns cold and/or wet. I've had all six plugs and wires, cap and rotor, oxygen sensors, and air filter replaced, and this problem still persists. I'm tired of throwing money into this and not getting any where. If anybody has any magic answers (out side of the obvious "take it to the dealer hur hur hur,") I would be forever grateful. Thanks a ton folks, this is an awesome forum.

did you replace your spark plug wires? if there is a break in the wire or boot, the current in the wires will arc causing loss of power. so check your wires
