Default maintenance suggestions

Hey guys,

this is my first post on the forum, still trying to familiarize myself with the site. So, I have a 02 chevy silverado Ext cab LT V8 5.3 liter with 52000 miles on it and was wondering what maintenance i should have done to it. this past summer i purchased it and it had 40000 miles on it but i did some hauling with it. What r ur guys thoughts. thanks everyone

If you weren't provided proof that they were done a good start would be changing all the drive train fluids. Tranny fluid and filter, rear end and if it's a 4x4 front dif and tranfer case.

Enjoy the truck!

^^^^

What he said!

Consider switching to a synthetic motor oil (Mobil-1, etc.) at the next oil change. Switch out the air filter, too.
:-)

Have the radiator flushed out and be sure that the correct coolant type is used. Some GM vehicles (such as my '04 Silverado) call for Dexcool.

52,000 miles on a truck that is eleven years old is not very much. Was it owned by one person all that time?
