Im new to this site and im hoping to learn a bit about my truck. I have a 1995 chevy 1500 pick up and today my locks failed. it has power locks but i dont have a fob for it. I usually use my key to unlock the door but today the key did nothing. can someone point me in the right direction on what the problem might be? im not a huge car buff and know just the basics.

 

The links that operate the mechanism have plastic keepers to keep the links attached. One of the plastic keepers probably broke. You will need to take off the door panel to see what happened even if it is something else.
