max rpm on ht350
im just wondering i plan on boring my tbi 350 .30 over and a cam and headers and pory and polich but keeping stock valve train components i was just wondering what you think the max rpm could be.
well from my experience of trying to blow up my 92 TBI 350 it floated the valves between 5500 - 6000 RPM.
if your wanting to rev anything over 5 to 55 i would suggest putting stiffer springs on.
ive sucsesfully revved chevys to 8000 RPM endless times on stock valvetrain parts with the correct springs and a huge solid cam. - even with the stock self aligning rockers wich is forbidden on paper
lived 3 years of drag racing.
put some good springs on it to go with the cam your using or you'll be sorry. worn out springs cause problems.
