Hi im new to the group,

I have a 1990 silverado z71 that i am rebuilding. I refuse to give up on her. I have done a 96 grill conversion with light conversion, 3 inch body with 33x12.50 MTR Wranglers, dual exhaust and a new radiator and 4.10 gears in the rear. My only problem is i dont believe she is pushing the power that she can. I re did the timing, new tune up and am having a problem getting more horses to the engine. I have long tube headers but was told not to install them by a friend who owns chevys. ANy suggestions onto what i can to make more horse power, a better sounding exhaust, and what will help my engine?

Check out CFM Technologies web site. There are several upgrades that you can get that are not too expensive and will help you get more power. I just finished swapping out the 350 in my 1989 stepside with a stroker 383 motor. headers are good but make sure that your catalytic converter is replaced with a high flowing converter. It cost me $180 to have the cat done. I am still running the stock manifolds with 3" exhaust from the cat back.
