Default Is midas a good place to go for brake repair?

For a 93 silverado? My friend's girlfriends dad owns this Midas shop by my house and I am thinking about taking it there. He says that they are nice people and are helpful. I talked to my friends girlsfriends mom over the phone (shes the one who answers the phone) about brake inspections and she seemed pretty cool. I asked how much it would cost to get a brake inspection and she said "we charge as much as possible" and started laughing... then she said... the brake inspections are free.

It all depends on the mechanic urning the wrenches. If you can't do it yourself why not go there since you know the people.

I prefer doing my own brake-job, I dont trust anyone these days, I have been doing auto repairs since I was 15-y/o, my Friends dad is Shop-Foreman for Freightliner and he always taught us the correct way to replace brakes & motors. Its not hard if you take yor time and do it right the first time.
