yea id say go with a programmer

 

I've got a 01 Z71 short wheel base 5.3 and I've the they Hypertech chip and a K&N Cold Air Kit, when I've got the chip cranked up it'll roast my BF Goodrichs, but they are too Pricy, so I keep her undercovers most of the time, it's still nice when a Hemi wants to challange you though.

 

my 5.3 has a K&n intake a flowmaster muscle truck exhaust and a superchip. these parts realy helped out the truck its a lot quicker now than it was before and now it has 32 inch heavy *** tires
