mufflers!!!!!
i really need help picking a good muffler , been looking into magnaflows with two inlets for a 97 chevy crew cab c3500 (gas) , but cant find any. was thinking about buying two seprate magnaflows and puting them next to eachother , can anyone help?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I have "true duals" on my truck, a 2004 Silverado 1500 (5.3L 2wd); and opted for the Flowmaster "50 Series" - louder than the 70 Series, but quieter than the 40s.
My truck has just the right kind of sound - for me, anyway - with the throaty idle and robust note during acceleration. However, it won't wake the dead and my truck doesn't drive me nuts with that loud drone during 70+ mph jaunts on the highway.
It's just my opinion, but the 50 Series is best-suited for the V8 Silverado. Your needs and taste may vary, of ourse!
I keep hearing guys talk about the drone sound.
I take several 3 he trips a year down to see the folks
And with cruise control at 70, often even driving in silence with no music,
I still can't hear any drone sound. Even driving next to the median and
Retaining walls I can't hear it droning. Maybe cuz my exhaust has a 90
Degree bend that dumps the tips out each of the sides and the bend disrupts
The frequency to get rid of the drone sound.
