I read the manual and it says to put it in Neutral and press the button, Ive tried to put it in 4HI and 2HI but the light still flashes 4LO. Any help is appreciated.

Try putting it in reverse for a second then back to neutral and try again. Do you hear the transfer case clicking out? A common problem for these is to have the vaccum actuator come unhooked. It is under the battery mount. i have had mine fall off two times. I finally clamped it on there. if this comes loose or crackes it will not change from 2wd to 4wd or vice versa. just a thought.

Next time, insist on the Manual 4WD shifter.(Yes, you can get it with an Automatic Transmission, I've got one.) Pushbutton 4WD has always been a little spotty, dependability wise. Most guys who know go with the Manual 4WD.
