Hey guys:

Got a quick question. I'm wondering what the problem could be with my engine. It runs, but not correctly. It shakes a lot when Idling and fades away as I get up in RPM's. I thought it was the sparks but didn't fix the problem. My next step is going to the the Vacuum Hose from the Carbeurator. Anyone else have any ideas what it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help us out here, what's the year(we're assuming it's a Silverado) and engine size?

 

sounds like either a misfire or a bad motor mount.

 

Thanks for the info so far. It's a '93 Chevy Silverado and has a 5.0 liter V8. If you have any suggestions to what the problem could be, can you please advise the easiest ways to fix it?

 

First off, it wouldn't hurt to check the distributor and rotor for cracking,tracking, and carbon scoring.- Possibly your timing's slipped a little. Make sure your vacuum likes are all in good condition and connected to the engine properly.
