Hey guys, I just purchaed a 1997 Silverado EXT cab with 177k on it vortec v8 350 5.7,

Would anyone know how long the engine and transmission will last me if i treat it right, i have been known to take great care of them and anything going wrong will be fixed immediatly, someone let me know the life on them, i have a buddy with a camaro with 270k on sme eng and trans so....

 

I have a 97 K1500 V8 with 5.7 Z71, at 136,000 I replaced the transmission, I have had no problems with my engine I have had no problems, just normal mainteinance will do. I love it.

 

i have a 1990 and just rolled over 200,000 miles and she still will get up and go. but i am on my second tranny but thats only because i am a teenager and i love to go mudding with guys who have 6 inches of lift or bigger and i follow them. but if you treat it right that truck should last a long time with normal maintance.
