Default NBS2007 Remote Starter

I have a 2007 NBS (5000 miles) and have a question about the remote start feature. Can anyone tell me if your radio (if left on when you last turn off your truck) and/or the climate control (if left in AUTO) display lights up after starting your truck using the remote start? I have had my truck since October, if I remeber correctly, after starting my truck with the remote start the radio and the a/c would come on (the display would light up). However, the past few days I have noticed that my radio does not come on until I put my key in and turn on the ignition. As for the climate control, I just assumed that it was due to the climate change and it was not cold or hot enough to come on. I live in San Diego. In the October, I was in Texas and it was noticable that the A/C was on when I got in the truck. I appreciate any help on the subject.

The radio will NOT come on until the key is in.

If you have AUTO climate controls the veh will detect outside consitions and come onif it meets criteria (about 40 or less for heat - not sure how high before AC comes on) Itdoes not matter what setting you had on when you left. It "decides" what to do based on conditions at hand.

If you have manual controls it will come on with last setting.

So follow on question.... what if the climate control does not come on? I have an 08 Silverado with remote start. The manual says by default the climate control and seat warmers should come on automatically when using the remote start. I just got the truck and this morning it was 35 and neither came on. I reviewed the owners manual and could not find anything about any customization / setup to change these options. Any ideas?

Are you sure you are leaving the climate control in "Auto Mode"? Otherwise, i don't think it will work.

The truck has to warm up some before the fan will come on for heat.

Yes, that's it, thanks. I just sat a little while longer to see and it does come on. Would have helped if they said this somewhere in the owners manual. Probably on some bulletin somewhere. Thanks again!
