Need help dciding on 3 inch or 6 inch lift...
I am about to lift my 2003 Silverado 1500 4wd. Cant decide on 3 inch lift with 20 inch wheels with 33s or 6 inch lift with 20 inch wheels with 35s. Or if I should just stay with 18 inch wheels....biggest dilema though is deciding 3 or 6 inch lift.

If I do the 3 inch I may stick with the 2008 18 inch wheels and put 33 inch tires on those. If I go with the 6 inch I will go to 20 inch wheels with 35 inch tires. The cost is about 1800 difference. Just dont know if after all is done the 6 inch will actually end up being 8 inch higher than now with 35 inch tires.

I'd go 3" to start, see if that floats your boat. Assuming you're trying to fill a driving need,
see if this works first, you can always go higher if the first lift doesn't work
out as well as you planned.
The higher you go, the more parts and gas your truck is going to et it's way thru.

Here is a Rough Country link that shows the 4" and 6" at the same cost, except for tires and wheels. You go throuh the same amount of work for both, so I say 6"

6" all the way lol. Hell I would say go higher then that if you have the money If you dont know I would say go 6" Why waste money on a 3" and turn around and not like it and want to go higher and spend 1000 on another lift and another 1200 on bigger tires so it look perportionate. Go big or go home
