Need HELP PLEASE
I have a 1996 Chevy 1500 Z71
It has been running good. tonight I came home, and turned it off went back out a few mins later, and I heard a ticking noise coming from under the dash. A little while later I tried to start the truck and it acted like the batter was dead, jumped it to start and let it idle about 5 mins later it just died. still making the ticking noise. Tried to jump it again and nothing, Battery was checked and it was at 12.7 volts, my charger rated it at 90% charge. So it's not the battery.
Please this is my only transportation and i need to get it running ASAP..

I see a lot of you have looked at this, I guess no ideas.
Has anyone had a problem with a electric module that controls the heat and A/C? A friend last night said there have been problems with that and it sounds somewhat like I am getting.
Anyone know where this is located, I know it is behind the dash but a closer idea would help, or the harness it's connected to.

96Kansas,
I see that you are trying to repair your concern yourself. I would try reaching out to some of the veteran or tech savvy members. Just in case they have not been able to see your post yet. If you are still unable to have your concern addressed and choose to have your Chevrolet dealership diagnosis your concern, please let us know.
