Default Need a new radiator...

...and I always call the dealer first...I work for a dealer, so I'm an advocate of using them...but WOW...they quoted me over $600 for a radiator for my '96 Z71...I work for a BMW dealer and that's almost double what a radiator for a BMW costs.

And $600 was only for 1 radiator...not like 3 or 4 of them...just one.

I guess I'm just shocked at how much the dealer quoted me...is this the price others around here have paid for a radiator or have been quoted by the dealer, or are the dealers around here just going crazy?

Sounds a little off key here. Go through a parts store and get a brand new one for 200.

Some dealer quoted my cousin 660.$ for a pair of seat belts in the back of her car.

I got a clean used set from a junkyard that worked just fine for 20$.

It's been my experience that many times the parts store is cheaper AND the quality is better...

I've bought used radiators in the past....and I've never once had a problem. Clean them and pop them in...and you're good to go
