Welcome to the forum!!! You would probably better off buying one, Mainly because the people on this forum are from all over the us and even some that are not in the us. Someone here should be able to help you with which brand would be best. Hang in there.
Welcome to the forum!! Bad thing about programmers is that alot of them, once you use them, get locked on one vin so you cant program multiple vehicles. You have to return your vehicle to stock before the programmer unlocks. So if your bud programs his you cant borrow his and program yours. I think pretty much all of them work that way. If they didnt the companies would lose business, cause everybody could share programmers and there wouldnt be a need to buy one for each truck, make sence. I prefer superchips. www.troyerperformance.com sells superchips programmersfor ford and gm vehicles and can do a custom programmer for whatever 3 programs you want. Thats who I use and I think their product is great! If you dont see your truck under their product line, contact them and see if they can build one for you.
how good are the results though? i cant imaging that it would be worth the couple hundred bucks that they charge is it? i have not had any experience with them so any info on how they work and their success rates would be appreciated
