Ok ladies and gents,

I just purchased a 2002 Chevy Silverado Z71 Extended Cab Short Bed.

I need to know if there is anything I should be warned about with engine, trans, differentials, or anything I am not listing.

I am very proud to have this truck. I was always prone to purchasing anything other than Chervrolet before, but wow, was I amazed with the power, comfort, and options I got.

I just love everything about this vehicle.

But as you all know there are problems with every vehicle made and some are more prone to having problems than others.

So whats the scoop?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Garrett

um not too many problems that i know of, i know some of the power steering pumps go out, water pumps, and just a few minor things nothing too big, all depends on how you drive it, if you drive like me your hole truck will fall apart in a year ha ha..

transmissions are mentioned many times.

you did not mention how many miles truck had, just as a caution, might get transmission fluid/filter changed. Would not get a flush if trans is working properly and it appears to be from your post.

Just recommend a general change of fluids and start agood prevention maintenance schedule.
