Default new to lifted trucks "front axle angle problems"

I've never dealt with lifted trucks before more of an engine work type guy. I bought this 2001 Silverado with what I believe is a 6 inch rough country lift. I was out playing in the woods wile home on leave in Florida got stuck locked it in 4 and snapped the axle clean on driver side front of course spent the morning after replacing it but, my question is how do I reduce the angle of the front shafts without using spacers right now the front passenger has a 2-1/2 inch spacing block where as the drivers front has the 2-1/2inch spacer plus 12 washers stacked up on each bolt between the actual spacer and the shaft I know if I leave the axles at this angle im going to be replacing them often not that I use the 4x4 much but I do on occasion driving the beach on base how do I reduce the angle?

Decrank your torsion keys. From the sound of it, the PO cranked it up way to much. Can you post pics so I can see what your ramble was about.
