Default New to the site and have a couple questions

hey guys im new to the sight and look forward to becoming a regular lol. about a year ago i bought a 2001 1500 with 230000. the guy i got it from ran full synthetic in it. the truck now has 240000 miles and am wondering what everyone would suggest weight wise for oil. im thinking 10-40 synthetic but just wondering what your guys opinions are.

I always run what the cap says, unless there is some "extreme" climate considerations. Usually that means to me if I am running 10w-30 in the summer, I might run 5w-30 in winter. You might also reference the owners manual if it has one. In my suburban with 170K I run non synthetic Castrol hi mileage, it is about the same price as synthetic, but I like it. Are you having any engine issues, 240K is alot of miles.

nope no engine troubles at all runs great and passes smog with flying colors just was wondering another persons opinion.
