New Truck, Paint Chips, Angry Person
I just bought a new Silverado, as in November 1st, and just made my first payment. There is already an array of paint chips along the rockers and the general low side of the truck. There are mud flaps on the truck.
I assumed the Chevrolet paint would be a bit tougher, and also that the mud flaps would prevent this from happening. If it looks like this with only 2,000 miles on it, I can't imagine what it will look like with 100,000. Or when the New York State salt starts to hit them.
The county put new stone on this road, I obviously go slow down it, it's when I get on the highway that they fling off the tread of the tire and hit the truck.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Does this fall on my insurance company, the county for the stones, or the warranty from Chevrolet? Any advice will help.
